Tex-Mex Chicken Burgers

Spice up your basic burger routine with Tex-Mex Chicken Burgers and tantalize your taste buds!


Chicken Burgers

450 g ground chicken
2 avocados, sliced
1 tomato, sliced
4 burger buns

Tex-Mex Seasoning

2 tablespoons chilli powder
½ tablespoon onion powder
1 tablespoon paprika
½ tablespoon garlic powder
1 teaspoon oregano
1 teaspoon cayenne flakes
1 teaspoon cumin
½ tablespoon salt
1 teaspoon black pepper
½ cup bread crumbs
juice of half a lime


  1. Preheat grill to 260°C.
  2. Combine ground chicken with chilli powder, onion powder, paprika, garlic powder, oregano, cayenne flakes, cumin, salt, pepper, bread crumbs and lime juice. Form into 4 patties.
  3. Place chicken patties on the grate and grill for 10 minutes per side or until the internal temperature reaches 75°C on an instant read thermometer.
  4. Place avocado slices on the grate and grill for 2 minutes.
  5. Spread mayonnaise or your favourite condiment(s) on bottom bun and top with lettuce, burger, tomatoes and grilled avocado.
