Grilled Honey Sriracha Thighs

Spice up your week with this incredible chicken recipe. Juicy grilled chicken thighs are coated in a sweet and spicy honey sriracha sauce. Serve it with coleslaw and corn on the cob to balance the sweet and spicy heat.


For the Chicken Thighs

6 chicken thighs, skin on
3 tablespoons sesame oil
salt and pepper to taste
sesame seeds
coriander, chopped
green onion, chopped

For the Honey Sriracha Sauce

½ cup hoisin sauce
2 tablespoons soy sauce
3 tablespoons honey
1-2 tablespoons sriracha
juice of 1 orange


  1. Preheat grill to 200°C.
  2. Evenly coat chicken thighs with sesame oil and season with salt and pepper on all sides.
  3. Combine hoisin, soy sauce, honey, sriracha and orange juice in a small sauce pan. Heat until the mixture thickens.
  4. Place the chicken, skin side down onto the grill and cook for 10-12 minutes.
  5. Flip the chicken and brush each thigh with sauce. Cook another 10-12 minutes.
  6. Remove chicken thighs from the grill and top with sesame seeds, cilantro and green onion.
  7. Serve alongside sauce.
