Grilled BBQ Chicken Pizza

Switch up pizza night with this Grilled BBQ Chicken Pizza. Loaded with BBQ sauce, mozzarella, bacon and ranch, this pizza is grilled to bubbling cheesy goodness on a crust of fresh pizza dough.

1 pre-made pizza dough
cornmeal for dusting
⅓ cup BBQ sauce
1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
4 ounces sliced mozzarella cheese
1 grilled chicken breast, sliced
4 strips grilled bacon, cut into 2.5cm pieces
salt and pepper to taste
ranch dressing
chopped parsley

  1. Place pizza stone on cool grate to preheat.
HOT TIP – If you do not have a pizza stone, you can use aluminium foil instead. Do NOT preheat aluminium foil. You can also grill directly on the grate.
  2. Preheat grill to 260°C.
  3. Knead pizza dough on a floured surface, roll out and flatten, using a rolling pin or your hands.
  4. Transfer dough to pizza peel (or aluminium foil), dusted with cornmeal.
  5. Evenly spread BBQ sauce on pizza dough, leaving a half-inch outside edge without sauce for the crust.
  6. Evenly apply shredded and sliced mozzarella cheese. Add grilled chicken, bacon, salt and pepper.
  7. Transfer pizza to preheated pizza stone. If using aluminium foil, carefully set the aluminium foil and pizza onto the grill.
  8. Cook for 8-10 minutes or until the crust is golden brown and cooked through.
  9. Top with ranch dressing and parsley. Slice and serve.
